Delivering Things

(Covid-19 Community Volunteer, Module Three)

This course is Module Three in the course Covid-19 Community Volunteer.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, many people will have volunteered with the NHS, local authority or community group to help out.  Many of these volunteers will have be given the role to support someone living with dementia in the community.

In this module you will be exploring the most effective way to deliver things like shopping or a prescription for people living with dementia in your role as a community volunteer.  You will be looking at some of the challenges that you may encounter and how you can ensure that the person living with dementia feels best supported by yourself.   You will also be given a checklist which you can complete with the person living with dementia to make sure all areas are covered.

This module consists of a mixture of written learning materials, exercises, a video, files to download, a handy checklist and a discussion forum to learn from others taking the course.

This course has been co-produced by people living with dementia and their allies.

To access this course, you will need to self enrol on the course.  This is really easy, just follow the instructions and provide your name, email address and a password.
